Whispering Eden Instruction and Classes!

Whispering Eden offers year-round classes, “camps,” sessions and craft parties in a wide-range of media and art. Owner and artist, Shannyn Snyder, has been teaching design and technique classes for over 12 years and is currently a regular instructor in the Prince William and Fairfax County library systems, local centers for the art and Michaels Arts and Crafts.

We offer teen group classes, ladies-night camps, community and art center sessions and more. Prices range from $5 to $60 per person, depending on the length of the session and supplies needed. Average class is $10-$20 per person, with a minimum of 8-10 participants for home instruction and 15-25 for group instruction at other venues. We provide quality supplies and will let students know in advance if any supplies are needed for the particular class.

We are currently holding classes in scrapbooking, rubber stamping, chalking, beadwork, jewelrymaking, wire wrapping, handmade cards, party and shower favors, candy making, DIY interior design: stenciling and faux painting, decoupage, antique reproduction, bowmaking and korkers and more.

We also make to order party and shower favors, korkers and bows for teams and school uniforms and can design a fundraising program tailored to your needs.

Ladies-night camps are great fun in jewelry-making and rubber stamping and can include additional product or supply sales, at your request. Groups of 8 or more women work in smaller teams of 2, individually or as a table on self-propelled, pre-planned craft projects, ranging from holiday bath-themed gifts, holiday cards, Swarovski jewelry, basic jewelry-design and more! It’s a great way to catch up with your friends and take home some beautiful hand-created items.

Whispering Eden does not represent any bead, stamping, scrapbooking or jewelry company. Any profit is entirely the property of Whispering Eden, and any product sales or supply kits are hand-picked and designed by Whispering Eden.

We do scout group other large-group sessions, and we also are happy to do “spring break” and “winter break” two or three day Craft Camp series for children. Shannyn Snyder recently taught a 3-day Winter Break and Summer Break camp at Center for the Arts in Manassas, Virginia, a week-long craft camp at Michaels Arts and Crafts, two week-long summer camps at an area school, and several 8-week school clubs. Our typical library-sponsored teen craft sessions are for 20-25 students.

Shannyn has been a featured art teacher at local community centers, community colleges, libraries, women’s groups and area schools. She is a regular art club and camp teacher at a local private elementary school.

For more information or to set up your session, please contact Shannyn at Whispering Eden at info@whisperingeden.com. Reservations for class dates are filling up for the 2007 summer sessions and camps.
